95th Birthday Celebration

The sun was shining and the birds were singing on a beautiful summer day in Ellicott City, Maryland. The occasion was a 95th birthday celebration for a war hero, and the guests were gathered from all over the country to take part! The birthday celebration took place at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City and was the perfect place for a large group of family!

The Guest of Honor’s family and friends came from all over to celebrate his 95th birthday. There were four generations of family members in attendance, including his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The party was decorated beautifully with flowers and balloons!

I love to keep things organized by working with a family member or friend ahead of time. We had a list of 15 different groupings for this family session, and it kept things moving and flowing. I also made sure to capture the younger children first, because they have the shortest attention spans!

After taking family portraits, we went inside (the air conditioning felt so nice!) and I captured some nautral images of family members mingling and starting with appetizers.
